Sue’s work is all about transformation – the small and large changes that bring us into balance, or even into immense joy. The modalities she works with affect body, mind and spirit, or what is called the dreambody in craniosacral work. Anyone seeking to transform their life – to lessen suffering and experience greater levels of peace and empowerment – can benefit from Sue’s work.
A bout with serious illness helped knock her from the corporate management track she had been on for 20 years into a life aligned with her true purpose. She became certified in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy in 2001, drawn by how this modality allows clients to connect to wisdom buried in their deepest selves. The process helps them walk their paths more fully, and create lasting change in their lives. At the same time she earned her yoga teaching certification from the Temple of Kriya Yoga, and began to share the benefits of yoga asana, philosophy, meditation and yoga nidra in classes and private sessions.
In 2008 she completed her certification with the Sacred Journey Institute, which encompasses craniosacral therapy, energy work, and facilitating healing journeys. This work can take a client to deep levels of relaxation and euphoria; facilitate healing from physical ailments such as headaches or TMJ; or release the effects of trauma from the energy body. As a volunteer, Sue used this work with survivors of political torture, helping them shed the symptoms of PTSD. She also practices this work as distance healing, engaging directly with the energy of both people and animals.
Sue is a recent transplant from Chicago who got ‘caught’ by the Flagstaff climate, the Peaks, the Ponderosas, and the close proximity of great hiking.
